OUR STORY

At the heart of Mizel Estate is our commitment to bringing people, elements, and dreams together. Our story begins with Mizel founders Michael and Zelene Fowler. Mizel is a blend of the their names Michael (French pronunciation) plus Zelene equals Mizel (me-zelle). Indulge in exceptional Mizel Wines to acquaint yourself with our taste. Visit Mizel Estate to truly take part in our lifestyle experiences and philanthropic foundation. Everything our empowered all women team does is about inclusivity, connection, and warmth. This isn’t just a world-class vineyard, a breathtaking 38 acre farm and home to some of the premier equestrian dressage facilities in the country. This is a space for wonder and adventure, for new experiences with old friends, and for the creation of memories that endure. Surrounded by magnificent California oak, sycamore and Cyprus trees, and with an English rose garden, koi pond, and waterfall, Mizel is nestled in the heart of the spectacular Santa Monica Mountains, adjacent to Malibu Valley.

Mizel Family Foundation

Mizel Family Foundation’s purpose is to create genuine educational and career opportunities for people with unique abilities. A percentage of all Mizel Wine proceeds is donated to our Foundation. The story of Mizel Family Foundation begins close to our home and hearts with Zelene, daughter Izzy and son Henry. Henry is uniquely-abled, as he experiences Down syndrome. Henry inspired us to provide special opportunities for uniquely-abled young people to experience art, music, and sports both on Mizel Estate, as well as, a variety of additional prominent venues.

Further, Mizel is committed to hiring employees of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Our goal is to employ and mentor uniquely-abled young adults to facilitate the growth of Mizel Estate. Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the key differences between the “Flirt” and “Devoted” memberships?

    The quantity and selection of the wines available to you, and your amount of access to the Estate. “Devoted” Members receive twice as many bottles and can fully customize their wine selections. They also gain access to multiple exclusive, invitation-only Mizel Estate events.

  • Can I purchase wine from Mizel without becoming a Wine Club Member?

    Yes! Shop Mizel Wines online.  Once you taste, indulge in a Mizel Wine Club Membership to become a part of our inner circle.  Exclusive events, estate visits, special wine pricing & more!

  • Can I visit the Estate?

    Estate visits are currently only available to Mizel Wine Club Members. Members can schedule their visit by contacting  info@mizelestate.com

  • When will I receive my wine shipments once I join?

    Wine shipments go out twice a year, in Fall and Spring. Members will receive further information via email and be automatically notified once their wine shipment has gone out.

  • Can I just order one kind of wine from you?

    Yes. Our “Devoted” Wine Club membership allows you to fully customize the wine selection you receive from us, so you can enjoy multiple bottles of your favorite blend. Bulk orders (15+ bottles) can also be made of particular vintages, depending on availability - contact us for further information.
